FAQ's around working with an Online Nutritionist in Australia
FAQs

Why should I purchase suggested supplements through you?

Natural Health Practitioners have access to practitioner only products. These products contain therapeutic dosages, are provided in a form of the nutrient that is best absorbed by the body, and are generally low excipient -  ensuring a high quality product.

Kimberley Wright Health will only incorporate the highest quality products into your treatment plan, and only when deemed necessary for your individual situation. If a cheaper alternative is more widely available and deemed just as effective and of as high quality - I will happily tell you so!

Will your treatment interfere with my current medications?

Some nutrients can interact with certain medications. For this reason it is important that you notify us of current medications in the new patient form, or at the start of your next consultation if you begin taking a new medication once your treatment has commenced.

Any potential interactions or side effects of nutrients and supplements will be discussed in detail in your consultation.

Will my health insurance cover Nutritionist services?

As a member of The Australian Natural Therapies Association (ANTA), I am registered with all major health funds.

Rebates may be available from your private health fund, however the amount will depend on your individual level of cover. It is best to contact your health fund directly to determine whether visits to a Nutritionist are covered under your policy.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Credit Card or PayPal.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, or the full appointment fee will be charged.

Please phone 0468 964 665 should you need to reschedule your appointment.

What does a Nutritionist do?

Nutritionists do far more than just tell you what to eat!

A nutrition consultation involves a comprehensive discussion covering all aspects of your health, including diet, lifestyle, known health conditions and other underlying factors that affect your physical and mental being on a daily basis.

A nutritionist will then work with you to design a personalised treatment plan to help your achieve your health and wellness goals. No two treatment plans will look alike!

Will I need to purchase supplements?

You don't have to purchase any supplements if you don't want to! Though in a lot of cases, they work as a kick start & using them will help you see results faster. So most of my clients start with the recommended supplements, whilst working on their diet & lifestyle.

How many sessions will I need?

This will depend on your current health and your health goals.

In many cases, clients have more than one health concern which needs to be addressed, meaning multiple sessions are required. Other clients prefer ongoing consultations to remain accountable and to ensure their treatment plan adapts to changes in their health.

A management plan outlining how many sessions would be optimal and how often we should meet will be discussed in your first session. The decision to proceed with any or all of the sessions is completely up to you.

What do you treat?

Kimberley Wright Health specialises in pre-conception, pregnancy and postnatal nutrition, perimenopause & menopause, digestive health, stress and anxiety management, and weight loss and weight management. We can also assist with the management of chronic conditions including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, autoimmune conditions, inflammatory bowel disease and womens hormonal issues.....to name a few.

How long are sessions?

Initial appointments run for 1hr.

Follow-up consultations run for 20-30 mins.

How much does a consultation cost?

Initial consultations are $140. This includes 1 follow-up consultation 2-4 weeks after your initial consultation.

Additional follow-up consultations are charged at $65 for half an hour.

When will I start to feel better?

This will depend entirely on the reason for your visit and your level of compliance.

In most cases patients begin to notice improvements in symptoms in 1-2 weeks, however your individual expectations will be discussed in your consultation.
